Two good friends have passed We're sorry to report that George, a good customer of the cafe and a neighbor of mine, has passed away after a long and engaging life. George didn't quite reach his 97th birthday, but he continued to keep the cafe staff on their toes even through his last visit, which was shortly before the cafe closed. George and his wife Sally came to the cafe at least once a week for lunch. George never hesitated to tell us his thoughts regarding the status of either the food we served or the condition of the world. He will be missed by many. More bad news soon followed that of George's passing. Sally,his wife, passed just five weeks after George. She was 95 years young. Sally was a wonderful person who brought us flowers from their garden and who, like George, kept us on our toes. We truly regret the passing of these two remarkable souls.
